Ant Control

Ant pressure in Ashburn follows the construction. If you're seeing coarse sawdust piles, ants larger than a grain of rice, or ants indoors in January, the nest is likely inside the structure and the job shifts toward locating the moisture source and treating the void directly. The trade-off is honest: bait-driven colony work is slower to look impressive than a contact spray, because you want the workers alive long enough to feed the nest. Contact spray gives you a satisfying pile of dead ants and a repeat call in two weeks.

The part spray-only outfits skip is the sealing. Mulch beds banked against vinyl siding in Broadlands, irrigation-fed planting beds in Belmont Country Club and Belmont Ridge, and unscreened weep holes in the brick-front townhomes around One Loudoun and Goose Creek Village all act as ant highways. We pull mulch back from the sill plate, screen weep holes, and note gaps at hose bibs, dryer vents, and garage door corners. Exclusion is what keeps the second colony out after the first one is gone. HOA-managed exteriors in Farmwell Hunt and Brambleton limit what can be changed outside, so we work within that and tell you plainly which fix is ours and which one is the association's.

Safety questions come up on nearly every ant call in Ashburn, and they should.
